I just completed an apron for The Summertime Apron Swap hosted by Abby at The Feathered Nest. This pattern is from Bari J’s on-line tutorial. I made this from my stash of 1930 reproduction prints. This is reversible, one side has a green floral background and two pockets, the reverse is the red kitchen check. The ties are long enough to tie from back to front or just tied in the back. So cute! I will be sending this off to Erin in Utah next week. Enjoy!!
Tea Time Apron Swap
May 17, 2008I finished sewing my apron for the Tea Time Apron Swap hosted by Lisa Kettell, a member in the CollageCats Yahoo Group. I copied this apron pattern from an apron that belonged to my great aunt. The pink floral print is vintage, an original feedsack and the blue and white ivy border print is from a tablecloth of the same era. The ties are made from floral scrap fabrics (from a quilt I made), sewn together into binding. There is also a small gift that will be placed inside the pocket of the apron. I did not post that pic so it will be a surprise to Luna, my apron swap buddy. Once she has received the apron, I will post the pic. Enjoy!!
