My first “Dottie Doll” and Amelia #14

What is a Dottie Doll you ask?  Well, take a look at Dot Christian’s etsy store and you will see some of the cutest beaded dolls and kits.  I ordered one of her Dottie Doll kits and a one of a kind handmade Amelia beaded doll.  They arrived just a few days ago.  Amelia is sitting happily on my art desk, reminding me to inspire those I meet and spark inspiration in everything I make.

Here is Amelia.

And here is my completed Dottie.  Isn’t she cute?  The back is a green wool felt, a layer of batting is in the center and then the cotton fabric front, each bead lovingly sewn on, all sewn together with embroidery floss and a buttonhole stitch.

I will be making more of these.  They are a great take along project.  Thank you Dot!
